Wargaming.net and HitBox, LLC. Kickoff Broadcast of Wargaming.net League North America Season I, 2015 - 2016

Wargaming.net and HitBox, LLC. partner to produce the Wargaming.net League North America, Season I, 2015 - 2016 Broadcast

Burbank, CA (PRWEB) June 24, 2015

Wargaming.net and HitBox, LLC., a brand new production and marketing company in Burbank, Calif., today announced their joint partnership to produce the Wargaming.net League North America, Season I, 2015 - 2016.

The new season kicks off today, rebooting the league's numeric season system. This WGLNA will bring twelve World of Tanks teams together to compete for dominance.

In 2014, World of Tanks hit over 1.14 million concurrent players and the Wargaming.net universe grew to over 100 million registered users. Wargaming.net has scaled its operations and eSports strategy accordingly, investigating new ways to connect with players and fans, such as the spectator-friendly Attack/Defense mode.

"At Wargaming.net, we're dedicated to growing our eSports audience, and by extension, our global brand" says Oscar Miranda, head of Wargaming.net's eSports North America. "We need partners who we trust to build on World of Tanks' status as a game and internationally renowned spectator-sport. That's why we're excited to work with HitBox this season."

As part of their new partnership, Wargaming.net and HitBox today introduce a new live technology for the WGLNA: the interactive broadcast suite, BattleViewer.com.

BattleViewer.com is an always-on streaming platform that allows the WGLNA spectators to follow live commentary, learn the history of their favorite tank, chat, tweet, and check out tournament brackets - all without ever leaving the broadcast.

Through BattleViewer.com, World of Tanks fans can enjoy instant access to replays and live footage across all four of Wargaming.net global leagues. Broadcasts are enhanced by advanced functionality such as picture-in-picture display, on-screen viewer polls, and the ability to make live bets on match outcomes. The WGLNA will also include weekly highlight reels and tank giveaways to reward and engage viewers.

To broadcast this season of the WGLNA, HitBox, LLC. created a brand new, state-of-the-art livestreaming studio, located in Burbank, Calif. As a dedicated production and marketing agency, HitBox will enhance the WGLNA with cutting-edge production technology, modern stage design, and high-quality video broadcast.

"There's a huge audience of video game fans consuming entertainment in a way that's never been seen before," says Andy Vander Woude, HitBox founder and CEO. "More and more, gamers are participating as fans and viewers first, not players. We bring customized marketing and production targeted to that audience. We're excited to make the WGLNA a truly unique experience."

Wargaming.net worked with HitBox to find the right mix of casting talent to communicate World of Tanks' strengths to all types of viewer. The WGLNA casting team pairs the sophisticated analysis of former World of Tanks progamer David "Nagatron" Williams with accessible commentary by Christian Toma, a caster who specializes in connecting the dots for newcomers.

"For this year's North American League, we wanted not just a vendor, but a partner," says Miranda. "We chose HitBox because they're just as uncompromising as we are about delivering experiences that connect with our unique audience. I'm confident World of Tanks fans will love what we do in Season I."

The WGLNA Season I, 2015 - 2016 begins today, June 23rd, with North America's top twelve World of Tanks teams competing for the $300,000 prize pool being awarded across all leagues. For more information, visit http://www.BattleViewer.com
